First of all let me thank you for visiting my website. Let me know what you expect, I will do everything in my power to make the process run as smoothly as possible. Simplicity is key, so here goes:
1. Works from the Gallery, just email me your information @ courtbailey@sbcglobal.net, or call and we'll work out the details.
2. I am passionate about my work, but especially portraits! I prefer to work from my own photographs (when possible) on every commission!. A private photo session can be arranged when necessary at no additional charge, within a 50 mile radius of Fort Worth, Texas. Occasionally it is not practical, so if you have a favorite photo/s with good resolution and is 5 x 7 or larger it will usually suffice (please be aware of copyright protection on school photos and professional labs).
2. "DRY BRUSH OIL" This technique is popular for many reasons, first it is usually less than half the cost of a traditional oil portrait! It is artist quality oil paint on 140 lb archival watercolor paper, then sealed with a UV spray. Minimum image size is 11 x 14, and may be ordered black and white, sepia, or full color. It will ship un-mounted, and un-framed in a protective clear sleeve, postage paid.
3. "WATERCOLOR,WC" Originally started out as a quick study and preliminary painting for traditional oil painters, but over the years has become popular as a medium in and of itself. I use artist grade pigments and Fabriano or Arches professional papers exclusively.
4. "TRADITIONAL OIL" Is the most popular of all portrait mediums and has been the overwhelming choice for portraits for hundreds of years. I use artist grade paints and archival canvas.
5. I REQUIRE a non-refundable deposit of $500 to start the project, with balance due upon acceptance, unless other arrangements are made.
6. Please allow a minimum of 4-6 weeks turn-around from the date ordered. Remember, you have a 30 day unconditionally guarantee. If you are, for any reason, unhappy with your portrait, I will fix it or replace it. Just return it in the original packing and I will even refund the postage!
